Table Talk with “Basic Bitchen” Author Joey Skladany

When it comes to basking in life’s true basic pleasures, nobody does it quite like Chowhound’s editor-at-large Joey Skladany. So much so that he’s set to release a pinnacle collection of 100 recipes for the basic bitch in you, aptly titled “Basic Bitchen,” on August 4—available now for presale. We wouldn’t let this momentous event go by without opening up the floor for Joey to answer your questions about all things basic. That’s right: He’s our latest guest for Chowhound’s Table Talk series and it begins now!

For the next two weeks, you can drop your basic questions for Joey in the comments below and he’ll answer them—surely with a tinge of his trademark sass and snark. You’ve been warned.

Wondering how to actually nail a perfect batch of frosé? Are you curious about the single best topper for an avocado toast? Or maybe you’re stressed, unsure as to how many pumpkin spiced lattes is too many pumpkin spiced lattes. Trick question: There’s no such thing as “too many” when you've got true basic blood. If it's trendy, delicious, and maybe even a little oversaturated (aka "basic") Joey knows about and, more importantly, how to make it or where to get it. So ask away.
