Last night my husband and I went to Tabla and found the service to be inattentive and lackluster. Our experience was not disappointing entirely since we enjoyed our food. The host sat us promptly and was very friendly, however; our waitress generally ignored us and was rather insulting. Most of the time in order to get her attention we had to call her over. Although the place was busy, it appeared to us she spent a good part of the meal chatting with the table next to us. When we inquired about our dessert after about a half an hour of waiting, she gave us a "lesson" on how a busy restaurant works. Her excuse went on deaf ears since my husband throughout college and graduate school worked in several popular restaurants. I am wondering have other people experienced poor service there? Should we try it again as this experience is not typical of Tabla, or go elsewhere where the service is more consistent?
