Best Szechuan in Monterey Park

Well, after listening to a wonderful rendition of the Firebird by the local band at Disney Hall, nephew(birthday boy) and Chinese wife wanted to try yet another new spicy Chinese restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley, since they had ventured up from the wilds of the OC, and do not get that option all that often.
Well, thanks to the comments of one of her cohorts who lives nearby, we found Best Szechuan, and are we thankful we did. Smallish, yet not real small, located in back of mini-mall on Garfield south of Emerson and the 10 Fwy.
Had the za zen lamb dish, aka hunan lamb on other menus, which was truly sensational. Also a sliced pork dish with seaweed and other green veggies, a seafood soup that was fresh enough but too bland for us. Also a whole fish in a sauce with tofu that was quite spicy and very flavorful. Sorry they do not have a takeout menu with all the regular menu items so I could elaborate more specifically, just a portion of the items, and obviously not the ones we ate.
Since all 3 of us have enjoyed Oriental Pearl at both past and current location, as well as Crown Cafe in San Gabriel, this was yet another one to add to our list of favorites for heat.
Health Dept. rating is a B for those concerned.
230 N. Garfield, #12, Monterey Park, 626.572.4629, and they do serve beer and wine, although we did not take that option. The appetizer buffet was also hit, yet by the time all the other food was on the table, we discovered we had ordered too much, and the soup would be the item deleted next time, which would have reduced the bill to $30 for 3 of us.
