So I'll be in Sydney (near Kings Cross) 3 days (3 breakfast or lunches, 3 dinners) and Melbourne (city center) for 2 days (2 or 3 breakfast/lunch, 2 dinners). I wont have a car so wherever I go will need to be near public transit.
From what I hear, Sydney is a bit more expensive than Melbourne so I was thinking I may focus more on asian cuisine. Maybe a Beef Chow Fun or dimsum for lunch. Or maybe a quick breakfast of a you tiao + soy milk. Then a Half Peking duck for dinner. Then maybe a lunch and dinner at a "mid-priced" place serving "local food".
Then in melbourne I'm thinking for breakfast/lunch, I'd look for local "bistro/coffee shop" type places. Then for dinner, perhaps a steak house.
Any recommendations? Is Yelp a good resource?
One thing, I don't like seafood other than may fish/chips
I'm hoping to keep lunch in the $10 range and dinner in the $25 range
