I'm looking to put together a list of places to eat and drink good coffee in Sydney and Melbourne. We will be in each city for about 4 days. We will be with an infant and a toddler, so its unlikely we can go to any fancy restaurants, would have to be casual eateries most of the time. In terms of food we'd like to try typical Australian foods and local produce, as well as Asian (Chinese, Japanese, and SE Asian). We are coffee addicts and looking forward to trying the best espressos drinks that Sydney and Melbourne are famous for. We live in NYC and obviously have great food and coffee options here, but like to eat well and immerse ourselves in the local cuisine when abroad. We will be staying in the CBD area in Sydney and the CBD or Southbank area in Melbourne, but in both cities we will be out and about all day visiting the sights. Any suggestions welcome.
