The Hershey Hotel wiire its relatively new (compared to 1933 opening) renovations is very sweet indeed.
For a pre-concert dinner we had reservations at the venerable Circular Dinning Room but after reviewing the menu at the Harvest we decided we were going for something less formal. I believe the waiter said Harvest had been open for two years. It is at the backside of the hotel below the Coy ponds and gardens overlooking a golf course on one side and the newly constructed cabins(?) on the other side. We were in an extremely comfortable and pleasant booth in an attractive restaurant serving modern American food locally sourced. I had a sausage sampler and the Lobster Cob Salad and my wife have a basic salad and a side of roasted veggies. Her salad was fine, but it was nothing special. The roasted veggies were diced and served in a very small strange cylinder of a dish. We both enjoyed the bread. My sampler was 3 two to three inch peices of assorted sausages with a smear of some special mustard, they were just ok and a bit on the small side for the $9 price. The Lobster Cobb Salad was semi-chopped and served in an alternative Cobb style as opposed to the more traditional Cobb which is segments of the chopped ingredients. IMO they could have eliminated the Lobster as it was a very small amount and offered little to the dish. Lets say it was "just ok, not bad". I did see and smell some other menu items which look great and made me wish I had made a different choice. The Fish and Chips, the Short Ribs even the burgers would have most likely been a better choice for me. The service was excellent and the whole experience of Harvest, the Hershey Hotel and the concert were "sweet" enough to look forward to another visit.
