Sweet white corn

Ken Hoffman | Aug 18, 2003 05:46 PM

At the Sunday South San Jose Farmer's market (Meridian and Blosson Hill), there is a huge stall staffed by a boisterous duo that sells white corn grown near Walnut Creek. The corn is fresh beyond belief and these small sweet kerneled beauties need only 2-3 minutes in boiling water with no need for butter or salt. Hurry, only 4 weeks of harvesting left. The good news is that they keep beautifully in the freezer wrapped only in their husks.
