Sweet & Sour Pork

Jack Flash | Mar 1, 200607:02 PM

For some strange reason, I've really been in the mood for sweet & sour pork this week.

I don't care how authentic or non-authentic it is; right now, I've got a jones that needs to be fulfilled.

Where will I find the best sweet & sour pork in Pasadena/San Gabriel/Alhambra? I'm specifically limiting it to these three cities because I want to be able to pick it up on my way home to Pasadena without a significant detour.

Sometimes it's too greasy, or the pork has too much breading, or the sauce is too sweet, or simply lacks any flavor other than "sweet." But when done right, it's a favorite of mine.

The best I've had (in my memory) goes back a long time, to my childood, and the dearly departed Don the Beachcomber.

Help me out, folks.
