Sweet Confusion

Thank you, AndeB, for your suggestion re Jinil au Chocolat on Madison. My coworker was able to pick up a box of kosher chocolates there, so my sweet crisis was averted. And they are still open at that location, contrary to meateater's claim that they are out of business.

My question is now this: what happened with Godiva? I recall going in there about two years ago, asking if their products were kosher, and being assured that the entire line was kosher. Now, when I go to the Godiva website and type in "kosher" in the search screen, only those hot chocolate mixes and huge boxes of candy come up.

This must be a recent development, since one of the respondents to my original post had gotten kosher products at the Grand Central Godiva (the same one where we got our ill-fated gift, incidentally) just a few weeks ago?

I hope nobody who keeps kosher goes in there and innocently buys candy thinking it's still kosher.
