Hello Everybody ~
Well, Thursday is right around the corner, and I have to say I'm in the mood for some fine Swedish pea soup (you'll get the connection if you're familiar with Swedish tradition). I've never made "gul artsoppa" (Swedish yellow pea soup) before, but I am interested in starting a new tradition. I have most of the ingredients on hand - yellow peas, onion, thyme, marjoram, and plenty of fresh H2O, naturally - but I'm in need of a good recipe... preferably a tried and true family favorite that your Swedish grandma might have made - a recipe filled with the hearty goodness of "husmanskost!"
I would be quite grateful to anyone and eveyone who would be so kind as to send me recipes - I'll try them out and report my results!
I should note that I am not a fan of "salt pork," so if you're favorite recipe calls for it, please let me know if there is a suitable alternative - tack så mycket.
