I was in Boston for the last 3 weeks. In my exploration of China Town there I saw several places referring to Swatow as a region and type of food. New to me, could anyone give me some pointers.
A quick search on the web let me know that there is a port:
"what was formerly the port of Swatow now called Shantou on the northern coast of Guandong"
Any particular characteristics to the food so described or why Boston.
