I've seen few postings about my area, and have to share a couple of tips should anyone be passing through. Mountain View Italian Kitchen in Ironto, VA is the bomb! Take Exit 128 off Route 81 (west of Roanoke), then follow the road toward Ironto for about eight miles. Arrive at a weird little building on the side of the road. The view alone is worth the trip. The hours have shortened somewhat this season, but get the Cream Pizza if you can. In Charleston, WV there's a wonderful place called Blossom Dairy near Capitol Street. We were there two nights in a row over a year ago. Last month, when we stopped by again, staff recognized us. Reservations are usually necessary because their crowds are huge. Tuna with Asian flourishes draws us country folks to town.
