The new soba/udon/ramen place in Japantown under Kinokuniya opened on Sunday. I had the tenzaru soba (tempura with cold soba noodles). The soba noodles were really excellent, made there, I believe. The tempura was a touch too heavy, but not bad. I just got a look at the ramen -- I don't think it will top any lists, but seemed pretty good. Often people have asked about udon and soba--finally there is a decent place in SF.
