Had heard that the Portuguese tarts were worth trying and picked up a few for a Chowhound get together. Didn't have a chance to eat them while they were warm, but they were quite nice even at room temperature. A little sweeter than the Chinese egg tarts, but nice overall. Crust was not as flaky as Portuguese tarts from Mr. Bread on Taraval or the Egg tarts from Golden Gate, but if you are in the Peninsula area it saves you a trip from going into the city.
