I'm considering a reservation at Susur's for my upcoming anniversary, but something's nagging at me. Does anyone know if they've actually managed to finally put together beverage pairings for their tasting menu? I don't mind dropping some good coin on a nice bottle, but to me that defeats the whole purpose of a tasting menu/chef's table. The lack of it is/was a MAJOR weakness the last two times I visited.
p.s. Would Perigee be a better choice right now? Only thing i'm concerned with there is that there doesn't seem to be much intimacy -- sitting around a central table isn't the most romantic idea...
