Sushi Zo for anniversary

Food622 | Jul 15, 2008 07:56 PM

Hello all!

After reading about Sushi Zo for the past two years (the good and the bad), the hubby and I are going to try it for our Anniversary. We know it is in a strip mall (ambiance be damned), but all that matters to us is great food! I have read - no pictures, no cell phones, no sauce when instructed. We are sitting at the bar for a 7pm reservation.

Is there anything else we should know? You guys were so helpful before our reservation at Urasawa, that I felt I needed to come to the board for advice on this one. Though I am sad I won't be able to take pictures, I fully plan to enjoy myself.

Should/Can we bring Champagne? If we do, offer it to the chef?

Is 7pm too late? We do like it less crowded.

We are planning on omakase, but I noticed that there was only one piece of fish served per course, can you request more of the same fish toward the end of the meal?

Can you make requests during the omakase?

Do they serve the same thing to everyone, or do they have different omakase for different customers?

Anything else???
