sushi-za

luckily I work in the strip that this little gem is in...we took a chance and the office ordered lunch on Wednesday...we all ordered from the Thai side of the menu...I had wonderful pad see ew, wide flat noodle like fettucine, with moist bits of fried egg, soy sauce and freshly stemed broccoli and fried tofu and officemate had fresh mix of vegetable with starchy, fragrant jasamine rice, a thai risotto if you will, each came with a standard spring roll and dipping sauce...but the best part was the "thank you" surprise - thin slices of banana wrapped in crisp wrapper and drizzled with warm honey syrup and sesame seeds...the warm soft banana on the inside tastes so great with the sweet crispy exterior...you could eat an 100 and not even blink...yea and we ordered from the japanese side today, it was good too...the inside is romantic, candle light-esque with a dark soft lounge feel, with boleros on the wall, a comical touch in an asian restaurant...laugh, its funny...SUSHI ZA, 3501 W. Commercial Blvd./ Bayview...across from Zukerellos & Fish...i wish i had the phone number, but its on the menu at work, sorry
