I have had several disappointing trips to sushi restaurants since moving to Nashville. Upon entering Virago, I was expecting another disappointment because of the extremely trendy atmosphere. i felt that the focus would be more on the environment instead of the food.
I could not have been more incorrect. This is fantastic sushi (have since returned with the wife) with an excellent wine list, of course a nice selection of cold saki, and bartenders who can make a decent dirty martini (extremely picky on this one).
Virago is probably better known for its late 20s to late 30s crowd, but the food should not be looked past.
