Sushi Ike (brief review)

Last Sat, my husband and I went to Sushi Ike. We had been there once before about a year ago and had not been impressed (it was OK, we had sat at a table, no complaints but nothing spectacular). That was then, this is now: we sat at the sushi bar (Thanks, Eric Archer). We ordered the omakase with Ike-san. The food was delicious. Ike is very gifted, very quick and charming as well. We had albacore sushi (very good), toro sushi (very good), yellowtail sushi (excellent), Japanese mackerel (excellent; came with a piece of kelp on top), an appetizer with portobello mushroom and crab (very good), uni sushi (very good), and eel (excellent). I think that was all. We drank hot tea, and had miso soups (the miso soup was inferior in quality to others I've had elsewhere, but still OK). We were very happy with the food and service. The bill, before tip, was $84.
