Sushi California in Berkeley

Molly Sullivan | Sep 15, 200304:05 AM

I’ve never posted before even though I’m an ardent fan of Chowhound, but I’m really upset because my favorite neighborhood restaurant was empty at 7:15 Saturday night. I don’t understand it because it is such a good place to go to eat the most tasty, comforting, reasonably priced sushi (and other Japanese good stuff). I’m not a huge sushi expert, but my Japanese friend tells me that he thinks it’s the best around and that it’s very Japanese. All I know is that I love this place & I want it to keep being there. For those who don’t know, it’s on MLK between University & Addison. And, for the record, I have absolutely no personal or financial relationship to this place. How come is it not more popular? I don’t get it!
