Although it was sort of in a basement, it was well-lit, pleasant in terms of decor, and the service was very good. There was a large oval bar, around which floated little boats in a moat, each one carrying three or four small dishes filled with different kinds of sushi. My husband got an assortment of sushi and pronounced it amazing. I had shrimp tempura that was so light and shatteringly crisp it practically defied gravity. The tempura was supposed to be shrimp and vegetables, but they said I could have shrimp only at no extra charge (!). The tempura was perfectly cooked--the shrimp was tender, not rubbery. There was some sort of soy/tofu soup that was pretty good, even while the flavor was hard to place. $33 total, including a 20% tip.
