I generally dislike Tomo (Broadway & 111th) for their high rice to fish ratio in their rolls (Saga is much better on this front), but I just discovered that they make some of the best gyoza I've had outside of Japan. Who would have thought? They're clearly made in house, they're not all doughy like many, and they're clearly not prefrozen or in a noodle-like wrapper. I would love to know where else in manhattan does this equally well, but for a neighborhood generally lacking in exciting food, this was a great find. Skip everything else, but gyoza and beer from Tomo turn out to be a fantastic pre-dinner treat!!
