Best suppertime chow and brew near the port in Victoria?

scadgirl007 | Apr 24, 201510:24 PM

My family and I will be at port in Victoria on a Thursday from 6pm to 11pm. Hubs and I (both aged 30) are enthusiasts of craft beers, fun dives, cheap eats, ethnic food, handmade ice cream and/or desserts, picturesque jaunts, and meeting interesting people. My mom and her boyfriend, by contrast, are older, slower, diabetic, and can't handle fried food well. (She prefers wine over beer, while the rest of us love beer!)

Any suggestions on places to eat and sites to see that are convenient to port? It can be loud and raucous, dim and quiet; it doesn't make much difference as long as the food is filling and delicious, and the bar has local drink selections available. I'd say price range $-$$, unless it is something we really can't pass on.
