has anyone here been? (probably). searched for the term on this board but couldn't find it within the last few months.

my friends and i tried to go saturday at 8 with a group of 6 (i know, not a wise move) and they told us it would be at least an hour, but i could leave my cell number and they would call me when it was ready. the other host had the name list at this point so the hostess i was talking to wrote it down on the table chart attached to the podium. after almost an hour we returned to check on the status. turned out the hostess had never put my name in. the host who had been holding the name list at the time said that either way, even if i had been there when i "CLAIMED" to be, there were still 2 large parties ahead of us. as we turned away to discuss our next move, another woman came up to ask the host why she had been waiting TWO HOURS for her table. he informed her that he had called her cell phone and when she didn't answer, he gave her table away. she clarified, "so i waited 2 hours for you and you gave me 2 seconds to respond before deciding i was no longer interested?" he said "nothing i can do, i'll put you back on the bottom of the list." we scurried away disgusted after that.

however, those $8 pasta dishes are intriguing. is it worth the wait? is there a more manageable wait on weekdays? thanks for any info you can give.
