Superb meal at Spicy Mina last night

Well, just reading the post below, about a customer last night, I'm pretty perplexed.

Four of us hopped in the car from brooklyn last night and trek'd to Spicy Mina for our first visit. All hardcore Indian food fans, braving the pouring rain and tons of traffic on the BQE. Everything seemed to plot against our visit.

But we arrived and were greatly rewarded. We opted for the palak paneer (something I would never order typically but took CH advice to get), the Chicken Jal Fry, Lamb Vindaloo, and tandoori mix grill (the same one mentioned in the negative post below in fact). Had nan, garlic nan, and parathi.

The palak paneer was quite possibly the highlight of the meal. Absolutely sublime, and all 4 of us agreed on that. The lamb vindaloo was perfectly spicy but not to the point of masking all the wonderful flavor (i.e. not hot for hot's sake). Chicken Jay Fry was excellent. The tandoori mix grill was comprised of shrimp, fish, chicken, and lamb sausage. The fish was great, not sure what type of fish it was. And all of the meat and fish was perfectly tender.

Really enjoyed the garlic nan, some of the best I've had here or the UK. Parathi isnt really my thing.

About all I can say that's negative but really isn't at all is that I wish she weren't so far away! And it would be nice if they did more with the dining room but who cares, stay focused on the great food.

Very anxious to go back.
