Greenfield has a new ice cream parlor --- Super Helado.
I was greeted by the super gregarious proprietor who told me it had been open about three months at that time. He was generous with samples and so happy, just what I look for in an ice cream place. The place was clean and spotless with contemporary styling. The paletas and ice creams are sourced from Lompoc, but he hopes to be making them in-house by next year.
I ordered the nuez (pecan) and mango ice creams in a waffle cup to eat on the spot. This is definitely one of the better Mexican ice cream shops and worth a stop when you're on this stretch of Hwy 101.
