In the past for Haitian in the area I would typically visit Highland Cuisine and Blessings (Both in Somerville) Recently though I have been picking up food from Sunrise and have enjoyed my meals.
The fried goat, fish and Griot are excellent. The rice and beans served on the side (ask for gravy) may be the highlight of each plate, which is tough to find as dry, overcooked rice dishes seem to be the norm in many West Indian places.
I did notice a couple reviews and complaints re: over fried dishes. I personally have found the fry job on their pork, goat and fish to be top notch. The meals are also served with a sauce containing picked vegetables that is meant to be eaten with the fried dishes. So make sure to combine both for complete enjoyment.
Next on my list are the specials namely the goat in creole sauce and fried quail.
