Sunny Singapore's choice restaurants

MOSTLY I eat out a lot and recently, I had a lovely dinner at Al Dente
Trattoria. It's a boutique restaurant near the "2 Durians" which are
Singapore's answer to the Sydney Opera house (I was the first gourmet
in the world to match Durian with wine on 16 July 2004 at the Singapore
Marriott). My good friend, the charming Italian Ambassador, HE Dr.
Guido Scalici and I loved the Sicilian wines from Tasca d'Almerita and
also the Tortellini tossed with porcini and oregano. The cute
Cappuccino of Scampi served in a large espresso cup with Crostini was
also excellent. When you are in Singapore, the Gourmet Capital of Asia,
check out this place if you are into Italian and who isn't?
Another unique restaurant is NUDE in Wisma Atria on Orchard Road which
is the 5th Avenue of Singapore. Taste the food here to understand what
Nude is all about. C'est la vie but many cannot understand the concept
including food writers.
