Sunflower, or there IS bad food in San Francisco

JB | Aug 29, 200308:59 PM

We were hungry and in the mission last night, so we made the mistake of going to Sunflower. I was hoping for an experience similar to Lotus Garden, but it was like night and day. The vietnamese crepe should have been listed as crap instead, with nothing like the light crispy texture of Lotus Garden's. It had all of 2 shrimp, which I had to go hunting for. I'm not much of a food maven. I know what I like, and I know good food. I sure eat enough of it..

The vegetarian rolls and chicken rolls were good. I'll forgive the unbelievably overworked waitress for forgetting the garlic noodles, since she had TEN tables to wait on. I've never seen anyone that small sweat so much..

Anyway, I felt pretty ill after this meal, to the point where I tossed the leftovers in the garbage. Yeah, it was a cheap bite, but sometimes, even in San Francisco, you get what you pay for. With all the options in that neighborhood, what was I thinking?
