(you have to have grown up on WCFL to know what the hell my title means)
A couple of people have e-mailed in recent days about coming to the dinner sunday or about bringing extra people.
I called the Parthenon the other day and re-confirmed for 28 or whatever the count was on my post, plus Erik. The Parthenon has never flinched at the amount of people attending, and I do not doubt they will flinch if more people show.
Frankly, I believe that if you still want to come, and are just responding, go ahead and show up on Sunday and will see where you fit in. With the amount of people we have, this is not going to be an intimate affair anyway. Aside from pig, there is nothing else pre-ordered. Straglers, however will not get first dibs on the pig! PLus, the final bill will be divided by the number of people. NOT WHAT YOU ORDER OR EAT. If you feel like just a little salad, you will still pay the same price as everyone else.
I was also reminded by someone else to say that this is a private, volunteer assisted event. No agency relationship express or implied exists between any parties and Chowhound, Inc. This is not a Chowhound, Inc. sponsored event. Nor, does the event have anything to do with Parthenon for that matter.
For those that e-mailed me today, I will e-mail you this post.
Am I missing anything?
