Sunday lunch nr LA Union Station

Wanda | Dec 7, 200506:10 AM

I'll be changing trains on a Sunday at LA's Union Station and was wondering what you recommend for a tasty but not too costly or lengthy lunch that is open Sunday. I don't mind walking to it, even if it's a bit of a way, as long as it's safe, both crimewise and trafficwise. I am especially interested in ethnic foods (just about any ethnicity except Japanese); my favorites include Indian, Caribbean, Mexican, southwestern, other Latin. I also love good bakeries, French or Italian bread sandwiches, even good health food/vegetarian. I have heard Chinatown is nearby; would that be a good bet on a Sunday? How do I get there? I esp love good dim sum/dumpling and noodle dishes.
