Sultan on the UES: My New Favorite Middle Eastern Place

Until tonight, I thought the best middle eastern food in Manhattan was at Al Bustan. Well, tonight we tried Sultan (a Turkish restaurant) on 2nd Avenue & 75th Street, and found it to be truly delicious. We had a great assortment of cold appetizers, including various eggplant dishes, leeks, baba ganoush, hummus, stuffed grape leaves, red beans and a fish roe spread, all of which were among the most flavorful I've ever had.

For entrees, we each had a great mixed grill, with three kinds of lamb and absolutely delicious chicken cubes.

I highly recommend this place!
