Sullivan Street grape bread heaven

On a meandering stroll through Soho and the Village today, I had to stop in to Sullivan St. Bakery. They had lovely-looking breads, of course, but what took me straight back to Florence was the schiacciata all'uva--moist, chewy thin foccacia topped with anise seeds, tiny champagne grapes, and a little dusting of sugar. Marvellous, not too sweet, really amazing combo of textures/flavors. Maybe a little heavy on the anise, but overall, amazing. $3 for a pretty big slab. And it was still slightly warm.
