Went by the 47th street branch of the Sullivan St. Baking Co. and was dismayed to see none of the usual sweet offerings. The standard pizzas were present, and they'd added some decent looking panini. But no chocolate tartine (like chocoloate-flavored butter!) and other goodies that I love.
When I asked what was up, I got some news that was...well, alarming or exciting depending on your point of view. Apparently, they're in the process of revamping their entire menu. That begins with the sweets, but reportedly everything is up for consideration, including the pizzas.
They guy tried to spin it as a positive thing, but I'm skeptical. Why mess with success?
