Suit & Tie???

I've been browsing the posts and noticed that a few places require a jacket for dinner. Can anyone give me an "off your head" list of which of the ones with great food require a jacket, which ones slacks and a dress shirt is ok for and probably lastly which ones I can into in shorts or jeans if I so desire. Like they say "when in Rome do as the Romans do" I'd rather have an idea ahead of time so I don't look out of place or get turned away. I was looking at the top ten list posted earlier and have also noticed along the way prices for some places as well. I expect to spend over $100 on dinner for a couple on at least 2 nights but would also like to find a few places to find good food/seafood that is more in line with what I'm used to spending at home for a great meal which is usually $30-$60 for a couple. Atmosphere and taste is what I'm looking for mainly. Fancy places are great but I've found that for most the food is average at best and not worth even close to what they charge. I've had better luck with small hole in the wall places. Thanks a million and hopefully this one will post for me.
