Suggestions for rehearsal dinner & groom's cake

Carolyn | Apr 4, 200209:22 PM     2

Hi,

I've gotten great suggestions from Chowhounders in the past and thought I'd ask again. I'm getting married in July in San Francisco and I'm trying to assist my future mother-in-law (who is hosting the rehearsal dinner)in selecting a restaurant in the SF Bay Area for a group of 30. She lives in Kentucky and I'm in NYC, so we're doing most of our research on the internet. We're open to all types of cuisine...as long as the food is smashing and the service is courteous.

Also, I've been looking into bakeries/bakers where I can get a groom's cake made in the shape of the state of Kentucky(the groom is a huge KU Wildcat fan). Any suggestions?

Thanks for any advice and referrals!
Carolyn
