I'm a lifelong NYer who's trying to coordinate a dinner for fussy, out-of-town relatives this week, on the Upper West Side, a neighborhood whose restaurants baffle me.
The restaurant needs to be south of Central Park West and 96th St, and north of Lincoln Center.
We need a reservation for eight people, at 7 or 7:30, on a weeknight, and need a restaurant with fish options, to accommodate relatives' allergies to nuts, gluten, and dairy. (It's a wonder they ever eat anything.)
Kinda expensive is okay, super-expensive isn't, and it should be a restaurant where a group of eight won't have to shout to hear one another.
