My partner and I will be in Manhattan for 11 days in April, we've just booked our flights!
We are both thrilled to be re-visiting NYC, our first time there was back in 2011 and the amount of suggestions and guidance I received from fellow Chowhounders was overwhelming, thank you!

6 years on and we still look back at the NYC food trip with so much fondness. The three Michelin restaurants that stood out for us were Le Benardin, Eleven Madison Park and Del Posto and our preference is to re-visit all 3. The first two appear to be rather difficult to book now (especially EMP), so I will make a booking once they open on 1 March for April month. The meals we had at the 3 restaurants were so good, we would fly to NYC just for a meal there (definitely in our top 5). Also, how Del Posto is one star baffles me.
I have only started researching, so am browsing the threads here and online to get ideas as I'm sure the food stratosphere has changed immensely since 2011! I have kept a watchful eye at each years Michelin guide release for movers and new stars. We are not trying to do all Michelin restaurants and would like to try a balance fine dining and casual/modern dining.
In terms of budget, we do not have a definitive number at this point but would estimate around US $300 per person on meals (for lunch and dinner) daily, excluding drinks.
We would like to focus on restaurants only in NYC, so that rules out places like Robuchon and Ramsay (both of which we've been to in Paris and London respectively). We tried Cafe Boulud in Singapore and enjoyed it so may revisit.
I think we will skip Per Se and Masa as both are way over our budget. Sad to see that Corton has closed. We went to Jean Georges last time and not sure if we would revisit.
We missed out on Keens / Peter Luger last time (the tasting menus at lunch kept us too full for a steak dinner!), so keen to try one of them this time, which would you recommend out of the 2?
Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated.
List so far:
Russ & Daughters
Eleven Madison Park (do they still offer the set lunch menu?)
Momofuku Ssam Bar
