Sugar-free, travelable food gifts from nyc?

tex.s.toast | Dec 7, 200911:52 AM

Will be doing some holiday travel to visit family members far far away and wanted to take advantage of the relative popularity of sugar free/diabetic friendly products here relative to where they live (Thailand). The hitch, of course, is that these should be foods which can survive at least 24 hrs unrefrigerated, preferably longer, and, of course, be customs approved to enter thailand. My immediate thought was that this would be an opportunity to try out some of the things i always see but never bother with in deli bakery cases marked as sugar free, but im pretty confident they dont start out too good and would not be improved by a couple days aging in a suitcase on top of that.

so, what are your favorite, easily travelable (not super delicate, liquidy or perishable) sugar-free and diabetic approved NYC foods? While i avoid eating junk generally i dont know too much about the land of sugar free things and was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction.
