I am a fan of Rocking Horse and finally made my way to Suenos Friday night. No Reservation, got a table for two at about 8pm - but the tiny place really filled up quickly.
Started with a couple of Margaritas which are not as good ar Rocking horse, and some fresh guacamole wich was great. Dinner was a seared tuna with a black bean and avacado salsa, my date has fish as well - the cod. Both were great.
Service, food, staff, all great, we shared a desert and never felt rushed.
Maybe $95 was a bit high considering we didn't get 2 apps but the dinner was among the best I've had in Chelsea. Entree prices are all in the mid $20's.
I will go back I'm sure, but if it were more moderate price wise, i would be a regular. I understand this is a Chef driven restaurant and the food was reflective of that fact.
