We picked up some pizza slices, bread, and sweet treats from them today.

The pizzas were decent - at $4.95, the portion was on the small side. Love the dough - light, perfectly seasoned, flavourful but not charred. I like the one with the potatoes.

Love the bread! We got the poppy seed studded rye bread. Smelled amazing and crust had a really nice bite to it.

As an aside, I was there with a friend and asked them to slice the loaf of bread in half, so we could each take half home. They refused and said it was against store policy?! She gave us a very long-winded answer, citing hygiene issues etc, and that the bread'd preserve better unsliced. I didn't want to waste time to convince them, but found it odd they wouldn't slice it - even in half.

We also had the rhum baba - it was too rich and too heavy for a summer night. Perhaps we will revisit in the fall.

Overall I think it's a nice addition to the hood - when they get licensed, it'd definitely be a good quick meet up place.
