In general I never buy ground spices and prefer to grind my own. Recently however, I ordered some green cardamom pods from a store in New York. They were out of cardamom pods and sent me ground cardamom instead. I know that will probably lose its freshness fairly quickly, so my question is this. Can I use the ground cardamom in place of cardamom pods and if so how much ground cardamom could be used in place of 1 cardamom pod?
