Subbing Frozen for Fresh

I am making an Indian Vegetable Curry for dinner and Naan. The recipe calls for fresh peas, but I do not have acces to those right now. Will frozen work? Will they be too mushy? Do I need to thaw them? I know this may seem like a silly question, but I don't know that I've ever used frozen peas before.
