Last night I stopped at a new Japanese take out place for the first time. I got noodles and vegatables which were very good and inexpensive. I have had noodles at various places but my experience is limited (living in Delaware as I do). With the noodles I was given a little container of pale yellow stuff that looked and tasted like a rich mayonaise. What was it? What is the appropriate thing to do with it? I just put a little in with the noodles and it was tasty but the idea of Japanese mayonaise seemed a little odd. Thanks in advance for help in continuing my chowish education.
