Street Kitchen in Tysons Corner Mall - Report

Steve | Jun 24, 2017 09:07 PM

Tyler Cowen recently raved about this counter service place for dhosa and kathi rolls next door to their sitdown restaurant, American Tandoor. He wrote "It’s not just good for Tysons, it’s really good period. In fact I’ll put it in the top tier of dosa places around."

Tyler Cowen must have had a mild stroke before going there. The dhosa here is pitiful, like an thin eggy pancake. It tears at the slightest provocation. It has no flavor. It is an insult to what you should expect of a great dhosa, and if anyone eats this stuff thinking they are getting the real thing, then I suspect they will never order dhosa again. I am not sure how this could have happened, but it is all wrong. It makes my highly skeptical aobut American Tandoor.

For the record, I ordered the mutter paneer dhosa.
