I live in Mar Vista and while we have an abundance of good things to eat in the neighborhood I see a real lack of street food as compared to other Neigborhoods in LA. I though about this after seeing a thread on Bacon Wrapped dogs and realizing I have not found one in My Hood nor have I seen street Tamale vendors. I have seen a few fresca and Chip people roaming the steets and one Mayo Corn vendor turning the corner from Inglewood on to Culver but I don't know their schedules.
I could head off to Macarthur Park for the bacon wrapped dog but Langers and Mama's always draw me away from trying these treats (yes, I've never had one) Same with Whitier BL and Tacos Baja Ensenada or downtown and Grand Central market.
I realize this could be a danger to find all this glorious street food near by, but I'm willing to risk it.
