Many years ago (like 40 yikes) in the late 1970s, I used to meet my grandmother for lunch downtown at the Stouffer’s restaurant. I feel like it was on Wabash or State around Randolph (northern part of the loop). They had an amazing creamy tomato soup that I still think about. It wasn’t really savory/spicy, more like a perfected version of Campbell’s with tomato pieces.
Does ANYONE remember this? Have a copycat recipe? Amy I really old enough to remember something from 40+ years ago?
