We went cherry picking in the Leona Valley, near Los Angeles last Sunday. Went to Rhodes Orchard. Very friendly enviornment, lots of large bings at $2.00/pound.
When we went picking last year, we came home with pounds of cherries which we tried to freeze. They didn't hold up very well.
Since we have lots again this year, and we're not into canning or anything like that, what's the best way of storing the cherries in the refrigerator to make them last? They go bad very quickly, so do you all have any tips to keep them in decent shape until eaten?
