How to store cut potatoes

drhuggs | Jun 5, 201903:07 PM     28

We are going on a trip and need to have 2 bags of cut raw potatoes for frying into French fries. The night they will be used is on the second night of our trip. We are primitive camping and will not have a kitchen. Can I pre cut, rinse, and freeze the potatoes, then on the day we leave on the trip place the frozen bags in an ice chest for 24-30 hours before cooking?
