Best Store-Bought Fruitcake

OK, call the Food Cops, but I LIKE fruitcake and look forward to it every Christmas. My Mom and I used to make it together and since she died some years ago, I don't bother, not because I'm lazy but because I miss her so much and we always had such fun making them. It was a special time not to be duplicated.

We made them before Thanksgiving and stored them in tins which were covered in cheesecloth soaked in brandy or rum. After a month they were absolutely delicious, filled with fruit and nuts and the batter was buttery golden and so good. We didn't use molasses and I don't care for that in the batter.

Costco currently has a fruitcake in their bakery, over 3#s ---- has anyone tried it?

Any other recommendations in the L.A. area, especially east of Pasadena? Any suggestions are appreciated.
